These drawings are also from a first semester art class at Purdue. This was A&D 113, and dealt with general drawing. All of these are works from the second half of the semester, since the first half was mostly general excercises to teach us basic techniques.

The first and last of these drawings were done in pencil, which is why they are generally less strong than the rest. The rest are done in charcoal (with the obvious exception of the blue one), each done at various time intervals. The blue face drawing is a reproduction of the drawing proceeding it, as an excercise in recognizing color to value. All are obviously still lifes set up by the teacher with various elements.

The first six works are black marker on paper, simple excercises with shape and texture and such. The next six are cut out paper pasted on white board, again for purposes of learning various art principles (it has been a while so I am not sure which principles exactly). The last three are simply reproductions of the last collage problem in order to demonstrat our strengths in using the different mediums that were introduced to us. For obvious reasons (because it sucked), the acryllic paint reproduction was left out.
