Lame here, running the update for Jim. I actually just got his message and just started writing this post without looking at the comic itself, so I will just completely wing it and we will see how I did.

OK, what Jim's trying to symbolize in this comic is the way war is destroying our society. I really like the imagery in panel 3, the way he uses the bleak imagery along with a half-gag to show a dark sense of humor which really says something, which is rare in this comic. I applaud Jim's artistic integrity in not letting the camp nature of our comic get in the way of his will to express his views.

Ok that was fun, you can hit the message boards to tell me how bad I did, but either way stick around for Monday when I will hopefully not do something corny like this in the post again. I am so sorry.
